Sales and Marketing Director
The opportunity that awaits you:
As our client sees global expansion, the Sales Director will provide the strategic framework and focus on profitably growing margins, increasing market share, driving the expansion and growth in challenging markets within the UK and South African markets, leading all sales employees across South Africa. You will develop and implement the commercial strategy, strategic sales plan and embed sales principles and practices across the business.
Your key responsibilities:
- Lead on design, implementation, reporting and reviewing of the strategic and operational sales plans to drive sales and revenue in line with international strategy.
- Develop strategic selling competence that will enable the company to take current and new products to the market in partnership with customers.
- Drive the business’s sales teams to ensure they are appropriately motivated, trained and capable of meeting sales targets and objectives.
- Provide strategic sales guidance to the founding partners and board.
- Design, implement and maintain distribution strategy and operations across local and international markets.
Our required expertise:
- Post-Graduate Degree in sales or business or related is essential.
- Solid sales and marketing strategic level of experience for over 3 years.
- Global experience in new market identification and penetration.
- Global networks available to be leveraged.
- Hands on, holistic approach to running a business through its sales and marketing functions.
- Must have B2C experience.
- Availability to travel through Europe, UK and South Africa.
Salary range: R 1,2 – R 1,5 Million Cost to Company
